Use a Junior Layer Cake® to make this beautiful quilt.  A Junior Layer Cake is 20 10” squares.  A regular Layer Cake has 40 to 42 squares.  The quilt’s finished size is a perfect child’s quilt or lap quilt.  A regular Layer Cake can be used to make 2 quilts or a larger quilt.

Simple piecing makes this project easy to complete in a short time.  The quilt is made using the broken dishes block.  This block has been used since the late 1700’s.  However, we take a new look at this block by using a Junior Layer Cake in its construction and a new technique for making half square triangles.  You will love it!
